Welcome to Root's Market, home of the oldest single family-run country market in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. From its humble beginnings as a poultry auction in 1925, Root's Market has evolved over the years to become a piece of Lancaster County heritage offering fresh food and a wide variety of items for sale.

There's something for everyone at Root's. Every Tuesday, Root's Market features its produce auction as well as fresh meats, deli, bakery items, flowers, handmade crafts, antiques, collectibles and household items from over 200 stand-holders.

 

COST IS $65 PER PERSON AND INCLUDES:

·        Bus ticket

·        Driver’s gratuity

·        Breakfast sandwiches and beverages on ride to Root’s

·        Snacks, beer, soda, wine, water at bus throughout the day

·        Five hour stay

 

TRIP ITINERARY:

·        Depart William Penn park and ride LOT A-2 at 8:00am

·        Wescosville park and ride pick-up 8:30am

·        ROOT’S COUNTRY MARKET 10:00am-3:00pm

·        Home 4:45pm

 

I WILL BRING MY TENTS (IF NEEDED) AND SET THEM UP BY THE BUS.  SO IF YOU WANT TO BRING BACK SOMETHING TO EAT FOR LUNCH, I WILL HAVE A TAILGATE SPOT SET UP.  THE BUS WILL BE OPEN ALL DAY SO YOU CAN CONTINUALLY BRING YOUR PURCHASES BACK AND STORE THEM UNDER THE BUS.  SO BRING YOUR COOLERS AND LAWN CHAIRS AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU MAY NEED!
