Trip Itinerary:
Day 1,
Friday, November 17
7:00AM William Penn Park N Ride lot A-2
12:00PM Approximate arrival in Indiana, Pa for a “Wonderful” three days!
Enjoy lunch included upon arrival at Bruno’s Italian Restaurant

We will meet our guide here.
1:15 –
3:15PM Enjoy a driving tour of Indiana to
include Jimmy’s boyhood home, the church he attended, former location of dad’s
hardware store and parts of the campus of Indiana University of
Pennsylvania.
Including the Jimmy Stewart Museum.
3:30PM Check in to our hotel Hampton Inn
4:30PM Depart for dinner
5:00 –
6:15PM Dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn followed by a local gentleman to give a
synopsis of Mr Stewart’s most famous movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” Menu
selections are to be advised.
Following dinner everyone will board the hometown float and join in the It’s a
Wonderful Life” parade. Those that choose not to ride the float can just
watch. Following the parade we will return to our hotel after a long
day
and relax.
Day 2,
Saturday, November 18
8:00 – 9:00AM Breakfast at the hotel
9:00AM Depart with our local guide for a fun filled day of touring.
9:45 –
11:45AM This morning we will visit Gobbler’s Knob, the site of every
Feb 2’s Groundhog Day festivities. Meet Phil and his handler!
Throughout the town you see some of the whimsical fiberglass “Phils,” decorated
by local artists and make a stop at Phil’s
Souvenir Shop.
12:00 –
1:00PM Lunch on your own at a Punxsutawney area restaurant
Traveling back to Indiana a stop is made at the Jimmy Stewart Airport where his
private plane is on display.
3:00PM Return to Indiana browse the shops and see the towns Christmas Tree or
return to the hotel for some R & R.
6:00PM Dinner this evening will be at Benjamins. Entrée selections are to be
advised
7:45PM We will gather in the hotel lobby where you may decorate a Christmas tree while
waiting Santa’s arrival.
Day 3,
Sunday, November 19
7:30 – 8:30AM Breakfast at the hotel
8:45AM Check out and then depart with our guide
9:00 –
10:30AM Visit the Victorian Silas Clark House,
decorated for the holidays by the local garden club. A visit here, in
addition to the house tour provides a history of coal mining, a gown from
President Grant’s inauguration and a 19th century doctor’s office.
A Victorian Fashion Show will be presented for your group.
11:00 – 12:30PM
Indiana has long been known as the Christmas Tree Capitol of the World. We will
visit a local Christmas Tree Farm where we will lean about the process of
Christmas tree growing and harvesting, see a wreath making demonstration,
browse the gift shop. Each person will receive a live evergreen swag.
12:45-1:45PM Lunch on own at a local Eat N Park

2:00PM Depart for home
6:30PM Arrive back at William Penn Park N Ride
