Day 1, Friday, April 26, 2019

7:00 am        Depart William Penn Park N Ride

11:00 am      Arrive Udvar Hazy Space Center (FREE) - the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia is our companion facility to the Museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Opened in 2003, its two huge hangars — the Boeing Aviation Hangar and the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar — display thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery. The Center also offers the Airbus IMAX® Theater and the Donald D. Engen Observation Tower, which gives you a 360-degree bird's-eye view of Washington Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area. Udvar-Hazy Center is also home to the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar where preservation of the Museum's collections takes place. A glassed-in mezzanine provides a view of restoration projects in progress. Researchers will also find the majority of the Archives' collections at the Udvar-Hazy Center reading room. There are many things to do while visiting the Udvar-Hazy Center.  You will have a chance to get lunch on your own in the food court.

4:00 pm        Depart for our hotel – Check into the Hampton Inn & Suites in Alexandria.

You will dine on your own this evening whether you choose the buffet across the street or choose to go Old Town Alexandria to dine at one of the many unique restaurants or pubs in Old Town.

Day 2, Saturday, April 27, 2019

Enjoy breakfast at your leisure.

9:30 am        Depart for Union Station where you can board the Old Town Trolley.  Enjoy the hop on and off privileges around the city and including Arlington Cemetery.  Take time to see all the memorials.

5:00 pm        Disembark the trolley at Union Station where you will have time to dine and shop.

8:00 pm        Return to the hotel

Day 3, Sunday, April 28, 2019

Enjoy breakfast at your leisure

Today you will have time to enjoy the sights you want to see such as any one of the many museums.  The National Air & Space Museum (FREE), Museum of Natural History (FREE), Smithsonian Art Museum (FREE), the new Bible Museum (FEE), United State Holocaust Museum (FEE) and many more you can visit.  You will be dropped off at the National Mall.

4:00 pm        Depart for home

Fast food stop enroute

9:00 pm        Arrive back home

Included in package:  motor-coach transportation, 2 nights lodging at Hampton Inn & Suites, 2 breakfasts at hotel, Alexandria Old Town South, hotel taxes, Trolley pass including the Arlington Cemetery.
